Everywhere one goes on the Internet these days there are pop ups, free offers, and flashing banners. Is all this just junk? Is there really legit companies using this form of advertising?
I set out to find for myself. Since I do like to sit down a game once in a while, I decided to try out these free offers for a free xbox 360. I started out signing up for the first free offer I saw. Big mistake, as I soon learned I got spam in my e-mail. In addition, the company does give out free systems, however, the hoops you need to jump through make it almost impossible. There were different levels of offers. I wasted money trying an offer only to learn that is not it. On each level I needed to complete several offers, many of which were costly. I proceeded to try another four sites offering free xbox 360 consoles.
Many were the same deal, complete two level one offers, then complete two level gold offers, etc, etc. Finally I cam across a website with a totally different vibe. This site required that I do only one offer. Other then that you do need to refer a certain number of individuals to sign up for a free xbox 360 elite system and get them to go through with an offer as well. Sounds a lot easier, right? Well not only that, but many of the offers are free.
I did a stamps.com offer and was amazed that it was totally free. I decided to cancel it out before the next month arrived and it didn't cost me a cent. So now how do I get these other peoples to join up too? Well, I have several friends into games so I started there. I got over half the referrals I needed just from friends, and there were excited to sign up. Then I went to ebay and set up a ninety nine cent auction. In the auction I explained the deal, and proceeded to get the rest of my referrals with only three auctions.
